INGREDIENTS
- Rice -500
- Baking soda -about 30 gm
- Urad dal -250
- Salte -as required
- Soak rice and urad dal separately in water in the evening
- At night,grind urad into fine paste&grind rice too but roughly.Keep them to ferment at night
- At morning,mix the fermented paste,add salt and baking soda and mix it well
- Oil hands and pour a ladleful of above paste in idli mould
- Put idli moulds in idli cooker and add as required quantity of water into it and heat the pan
- In a short time steam will cook idli paste into soft fluffy mass
- Serve it hot with sambar,chuttney or chammanthi...
