Idli



INGREDIENTS
  1. Rice -500
  2. Baking soda -about 30 gm
  3. Urad dal -250
  4. Salte -as required
PREPARATION
  • Soak rice and urad dal separately in water  in the evening
  • At night,grind urad into fine paste&grind rice too but roughly.Keep them to ferment at night
  • At morning,mix the fermented paste,add salt and baking soda and mix it well
  • Oil hands and pour a ladleful of above paste in idli mould
  • Put idli moulds in idli cooker and add as required quantity of water into it and heat the pan
  • In a short time steam will cook idli paste into soft fluffy mass
  • Serve it hot with sambar,chuttney or chammanthi...
