Fish biriyani



INGREDIENTS
  1. Fish, long sliced pieces -1/2 kg
  2. Chilli powder -1/2 tablespoon
  3. Turmeric powder -1/2 tablespoon
  4. Salt - a few
  5. Onion, thin sliced pieces -2
  6. Dented ginger -1 piece
  7. Onion -
  8. Green chilli -10
  9. Fennel seeds -1 teaspoon
  10. Garam masala -1/2 teaspoon
  11. Salt -suitable amount
  12. Basmathi rice -2 kg
  13. Coconut milk -suitable amount
PREPARATION
  • Clean the fish
  • Make a thin batter(mix) of salt,chilli powder and turmeric powder, then add fish to this and mix it well
  • Fry the fish (shallow fry)
  • In pressure cooker, put some salt,coriander leaves,fried onion and yogurt
  • Add grinded ginger,onion,green chilli and fennel seeds
  • On the top of this mixture ,spread the fried fish
  • Add 2 cups of water and cook well for 10-15 min
  • When it is cooked , add coconut milk,garam masala,fried onion and lemon juice
  • Boil the basmathi rice adding suitable amount of salt and water
  • Mix the fish masala(fried fish mixture) with boiled rice
  • Garnish with fried cashew and raisin
  • Serve it hot...

Chicken Biriyani



INGREDIENTS
  1. Biriyani rice -1/2 kg
  2. Chicken -1/2 kg
  3. Coconut oil -150 gm
  4. Ghee -2 tablespoon
  5. Dented Ginger&Garlic -1 tablespoon
  6. Turmeric powder -1 tablespoon
  7. Fennel seeds -1/2 teaspoon
  8. Cardamon,Clove&Cinnamon -suitable amount
  9. Green chilli -4 ,slited
  10. Salt -suitable amount
  11. Cashew nut&Raisins -50 gm
  12. Onion -3, long sliced
  13. Coriander leaves,Mint leaves&Curry leaves -suitable amount
  14. Curd -1 cup
  15. Lemon -1
  16. tomato&Onion -2 
PREPARATION
  • Boil the basmathi rice in a pan adding suitable amount of salt and water
  • Take a fry pan, pour few drops of coconut oil, then add onion,ginger,garlic and stir it well.
    Then cook on a low flame
  • Add fennel seed,coriander powder,turmeric powder. Also add cardamom,cinnamon and clover
  • Add chicken,tomato,lemon juice,salt and necessary water (2 cups is enough)and cook well
  • Fry some onion,cashew raisins and keep it separately
  • Now take a plain dish plate, put the chicken into it and spread it well. On the top of it, spread the boiled rice
  • Then cook on a low flame
  • Finally garnish it with the fried cashew,raisin and onion, then serve it hot
